it would depend on how tough/big you are, what area you will be driving in and what shift you would be doing
little old ladies or housewives with shopping would be simple but drunks on a night out may prove to be a bit more difficult

When you speak of ‘danger’ and ’safety’, you have to
look at all aspects of those. What is the typical record
in the area for problems? Is there a problem with
robberies? That would be the best indication of a
danger. It also makes a big difference in the time
of day, day of the week, and the location where
you might drive. Some areas in some cities are
    very bad for trouble.

Also, how adept of a driver are you, and how
well versed with the city are you? You can spend
a lot of time, and miles driving the area to make
a reasonable amount of money. Are you good
enough with these to make it a worthwhile venture?

Also, your own apparent fear can actually make
you a target for some people. Any look, or hesitancy
in you in doing your job is easy to spot by one that
would be a possible issue for you. You must be
very observant, and aware of everything around you
without showing that ability to others.

I used to drive a cab. I was a police officer that drove
so that I would be the one to take the high risk
calls. I did this for four years. In an area of 250,000
population there were two murders of cab drivers in
a ten year period, and seven robberies where there
    were no injuries.

You want to know the safety, and danger? It all
depends upon you, and the area.
